The following information is provided to answer questions you may have about your water bills.

•  Billing is monthly. Bills are processed and sent out in the mail the 3rd week of every month (approximate date to be mailed 16th through 18th of the month).

•  If you have sewer service from Berkeley County Sewer, their charges will appear on the same bill with the water charges.

•  You have 20 days from the day we mail the bill to pay the bill before the bill is considered delinquent.

•  Bills will be considered delinquent on day 21 (Delinquency Date) and a Notice of Scheduled Termination of Service and Customer Rights bill (commonly called Term Notice) will be issued on that day. Payment must be made within 10 days after the Term Notice issue date to avoid termination of water service.

•  If you own or are purchasing the property which we are servicing, you will have your security deposit plus interest applied to your account after we have received twelve (12) consecutive monthly payments on time. If you are renting the property which we are servicing, the security deposit plus interest will remain with your account until you no longer reside at the property, at which time the security deposit plus interest will be credited to your final bill.

•  We currently accept bill payments by cash, check, money order or credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and Discover). Please make checks and money orders payable to BCPSSD (including water customers who have septic tanks or sewer service from the City of Martinsburg). Be sure to include your account number with your payment to ensure proper credit.
